An awareness and fund-raising film to mark the the 10 year anniversary of the war in Syria.

Challenge
Syria Relief and Action For Humanity needed a film that could move beyond the headlines and remind people of the human cost of a decade of conflict. Centred around the story of Ali, a 10-year-old boy who has known nothing but war, the film was created to raise awareness and vital funding for the charities' work supporting families whose homes, communities and futures have been devastated by conflict.
Solution
As Director and Creative Director, I developed a poignant animated film that tells Ali's story with empathy, honesty and compassion. We created a richly textured, hand-crafted visual style that reflected both the harsh realities of war and the resilience of the people living through it. By focusing on one child's experience, the film transformed an overwhelming humanitarian crisis into a deeply personal story, inviting audiences to connect emotionally with the lives behind the statistics.
Result
The film became a powerful fundraising and awareness tool for Syria Relief and Action For Humanity, helping to shine a light on the ongoing humanitarian crisis in Syria. Shared across campaigns and fundraising initiatives, it gave supporters a compelling reason to engage with the charities' mission, demonstrating how thoughtful storytelling and carefully crafted animation can inspire empathy, encourage action and help deliver hope to those who need it most.
