A series of storybook-inspired animated films that brought Dreams Beds bedtime mascot to life, using rich illustration and heartfelt storytelling to create an engaging brand experience for families across the UK.
Challenge
Dreams needed a series of animated films that could bring their brand mascot, Log, to life as part of a nationwide brand campaign. The films had to entertain children, resonate with parents and reinforce Dreams' mission of helping families enjoy a better night's sleep, while working seamlessly across in-store experiences, TV advertising and digital channels.
Solution
As Creative Director, I developed a collection of story-led animated films that transformed Log into a memorable character audiences could connect with. Working with Audio Always, we created a rich, textured illustration style inspired by the warmth and wonder of children's storybooks, using expressive animation, cinematic pacing and gentle humour to create a magical world that reflected the comfort and imagination associated with bedtime. The visual language was designed to extend across animation, printed storybooks and campaign assets, creating a cohesive brand experience wherever the stories appeared.
Result
The films became a central part of Dreams' national campaign, screening in stores across the UK alongside printed versions of the stories and supporting the wider TV and digital campaign. Together, they helped build brand recognition for Log, strengthened Dreams' family-focused brand positioning and demonstrated how character-led storytelling can create meaningful emotional connections between brands and their audiences.
